🧳 Umi Update 1.3.1 – Inventory & Menu Improvements

Hey Everyone!

Bit of a smaller update this time – with some preparation for bigger things coming soon! Umi robots will be receiving some very nice quality of life improvements, including to the menu controls which are now much smoother and more reliable!

This update also sees some cool improvements to froots & treasures! Now, instead of fully random, your Umi will find a new treasure every 24 hours, and we’ve added the ability to ‘favourite’ & ‘recycle’ treasures your Umi has found.

We’re also building out support for new types of ‘froots’ – containing new treasures & rare variants for your Umi to collect! Not available yet, stay tuned for the next update! 😄

Change log

  • Change: Improved menu controls & calibration – should be significantly less accidental presses / ears pressing themselves in the menu.
  • Added: Hold down the ear to scroll faster, speed gradually increases, helpful if scrolling through a large inventory with lots of treasures!
  • Change: Umi now find a froot every 24 hours, instead of fully random. This includes time spent in ‘hibernate’, but not while ‘off’
  • Added “Treasure” menu, when something is selected in the inventory. Three actions: Preview, Bin, Favourite
  • Added recycling: Binning 3 treasures will recycle them, and add a new froot to your inventory. An indicator will appear in the inventory once you’ve binned a treasure to show how many you need to recycle.
  • Added Favouriting Treasures: You can now select up to 5 treasures which your Umi will play with much more often than the others
  • Change: Umi now find duplicates from the regular green froot. Previously after finding all 32 colours, an Umi would then find fully random color treasures. Random color treasures might return at some point, but for now they’ve been replaced by recycling, and some fun rare items will be added soon…
  • Changed Menu Layout: Wifi, Friends and Power Off are no longer inside “Settings”, instead on the second page of the main menu. Some UI changes to the Brightness, Ear Activity and Sound Menus
  • Fixed purple eye color bug from 1.3.0
