- Added Umi Friendship Interactions!
- Automatically search for Friends when you enter the main menu, or when you’re in the “Friend” menu
- See all the friends you’ve connected to in the Friend Menu
- Umi will have Conversations. This currently includes: chatter, exclamations (!,?,…,ᝰ) and discussing treasures they’ve found
- Umi will play together with the book, yarn, crayon, snorkle, controller & gingerbread treasures (if connected umi also have that treasure)
- Umi will take turns with the teddy, butterfly, frog, rocket treasures (sharing the treasure from 1 umi, regardless of if the others have it)
- Set your Umi’s name in their journal!
- Their name and eye-colour will show up in their friend’s friend-menu
- New icons for the different personality traits
- New Sound Menu contains:
- Volume – Same as previous update (might reset after update)
- Pitch – Adjust the pitch of your Umi’s voice (now with even lower options)
- Tone – choose between:
- Placid (fewer, thought out “bwoops”)
- Retro (lots of flat “beep boops”)
- Chirpy (lots of sweepy “bweep bwoops”
- Chattiness – set how frequently your Umi chatters
- Menu Colours updated (as this saved some memory needed for friendship)
There are still a few small bugs, and lots of features we’d like to add but we thought we’d get this out to you guys to enjoy and give feedback on in the meantime!! We’d love to hear your thoughts in #🌐umi-general-chatter !
Gen 4 Update Coming Soon!
We’ll now be shifting over to a decent-sized Gen 4 update! We’ll be allowing Gen-4 to communicate with Umi, improving their battery life while using wireless, and a few other overdue fixes (e.g. custom sounds). If you have requests for Gen 4 fixes & features, now is the time to let me know!
